Course Leader: Ahmet Polat
In the workshop participants will be investigating the surrounding and collecting their interests in the form of photographs everyday. These photographs, once printed will be gathered to form a stock, from which different narratives could be composed. New photographs will be added to the stock daily and the narratives will start to increase in variety and scope. Through a process of diversification, selection and narrative composition the resulting collage will take shape. The workshop will act as a ground for improvement on the technique of taking pictures as well as being a collaborative experience in producing a final exhibition that is bigger than its parts. The final work will become the base of a booklet, which will also document all stages of the whole process. And the process evolving towards the final work will be shared on a daily basis with the inhabitants of the village through outdoor exhibitions of the work in progress.
Participants are expected to bring their own means for producing digital images.
